Meet Your Newest Alternative Bread: Sweet Potato Flatbread

This simple easy recipe is great on either side of a turkey burger, or alone as a simple snack!


  • 1 cooked sweet potato

  • 1/2 cup cassava flour

  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil


  • Microwave sweet potato for 5 mins, then bake at 400 degrees for 30 mins

  • Remove skin from sweet potato and mash in bowl

  • Measure 1 cup of mashed sweet potato

  • Add cassava flour and olive oil to the mashed sweet potato

  • Form combination into a flatbread, add more flour if you want additional firmness

  • Put olive oil in pan and cook flat bread well on each side


  • You can use any alternative flour, but we felt cassava flour worked well for the flatbread
