Just Another Chili Recipe

Check out this high fiber chili to feed your gut microbiome!


  • 1 pound Ground Turkey

  • 1 1/2 c Onion, diced

  • 2 cloves Garlic

  • 1 can Black Beans

  • 1 can Red Kidney Beans

  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes

  • 1 can Tomato Paste

  • 1 Red Bell Pepper (chopped)

  • 2 Tbsp Chili Powder

  • 1 tsp Cumin

  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Pepper

  • Optional: plain dairy free yogurt or dairy free sour cream!

  • Also optional: 1 tbsp fresh chives on top (see picture)


  1. Combine all ingredients in instant pot or crock pot

  2. Instant Pot: Choose the "Sauté" option and begin to cook with lid off until heated (8 mins). Switch to Slow Cook “More” option and let sit for 4 hours (stir after each hour). Keep dial on "Venting"

  3. If you want to use a Crock Pot, add all contents to pot and cook on High for 4 hours

  4. Top your chili with chives & dairy free yogurt as a source cream alternative
