BESTO: The "Best Pesto"

This dairy free pesto hits the spot, but you can go ahead and add parmesan, if you must!


  • 1-2 c Fresh Basil

  • 1/2 c Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Juice from 1 Lemon

  • 1 Clove of Garlic

  • 1/2 c Pine Nuts or Hemp Seeds

  • 1/4 c Nutritional Yeast (or Parmesan Cheese)

  • Optional: Red Pepper Flakes


  1. Combine ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor and mix until creamy.

  2. Enjoy with your favorite pasta or veggies!
